Some free COVID-19 testing is going on today in northern Virginia. Coronavirus case numbers stand at over 36-thousand-200 for the entire state. Of those, more than five-thousand patients hospitalized have since been released. Hard hit Fairfax County is offering free testing today at two spots...Landmark Mall and Cora Kelly School. Patients do not need an appointment to be tested and they do not need to be feeling any symptoms. Testing times are from ten to six.

As most programs and businesses are closed today due to Memorial Day, Fairfax County Schools meal distribution will take place as normal. Meals are available for anyone under the age of 18 and adults may pay two-dollars for a meal as well. The curbside pickup locations are at various schools throughout the county from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information is made available on the county schools website.

The number of coronavirus cases is up slightly in Richmond. An additional 30-plus cases reported yesterday pushed the city's total number of cases over one-thousand. Numbers stand at over 36-thousand-200 for the entire state. A free COVID-19 testing event will be held tomorrow morning at nine at the Ashland Church of God in Ashland.
