As most programs and businesses are closed today due to Memorial Day, Fairfax County Schools meal distribution will take place as normal. Meals are available for anyone under the age of 18 and adults may pay two-dollars for a meal as well.  
 
Many catholic churches in the Richmond Diocese are shifting to in-person masses again. WTVR-TV reports that yesterday was the first time in more than two months they've welcomed attendees due to the coronavirus pandemic.  
 
Governor Northam is providing funding for criminal justice programs. The Governor announced 95-million-dollars will go to 229 localities, state agencies, and non-profit organizations throughout the state. Money is expected to help people who are locked up and preparing for release. The funds will also help support victim services, pre and post trial incarceration services, and child advocacy programs.  
 
Demolition crews are preparing to bring down an old Dominion Energy building in downtown Richmond. Pedestrians and cars will be banned from entering a 15-block zone surrounding the tower on East Cary Street, which will be demolished on Saturday morning. It's unclear what will be going in the space.
