Officers found one man dead and two others injured at the scene. A teen and a woman showed up a little while later to be treated for injuries thought to be connected to the shooting. The search is on for suspects.
A former Richmond deputy chief is being tapped for the top police job in Henrico County. Eric English served as police chief in Harrisonburg since leaving the RPD in 2011. Henrico County officials revealed yesterday he is being hired as the head of the police department, effective September 14th. English will become the first Black police chief in Henrico County's history.
Students in Culpeper County are back in the books. It's a little different this year as the county is offering a hybrid approach to learning with some online and in-person instruction. Students will be in the classroom on Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday with the opposite days dedicated to virtual classes. School buildings are being deep cleaned every night, and high touch areas will be sanitized frequently throughout the day.
