A woman who pretended to be a doctor in Stafford County will now spend over a decade behind bars. A Woodbridge man is being held without bond following a deadly crash in Prince William County. Police say Ronal Guillen was under the influence when his SUV smashed into a car yesterday morning on Springwood near Old Bridge. The 25-year-old was apparently going the wrong way on the road at the time.
Transportation options in Fairfax County are quite spiffy these days with a new self-driving shuttle in the region. The shuttle seats six people and connects people from the Dunn Loring Metrorail stop to the Mosaic District says resident Melanie Way. Coronavirus restrictions only allow three people on at a time. The new shuttles will run on Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A safety operator is on board if needed.
Newport News Shipbuilding has reached a settlement over an employment discrimination case filed against them. According to the Virginian-Pilot, the shipyard has accepted a deal with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office to pay $3.5 million dollars in back pay and interest to almost 45 hundred black applicants who were not hired.
