Smith was arrested in February after a traffic stop at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story. Smith had the arrest expunged during a Tuesday hearing in general district court. Smith's lawyer has urged her to pursue a lawsuit against the city because of the stress caused by the mistaken identity arrest.
