A dump truck driver is facing charges after a crash in northern Virginia put a motorcycle rider in the hospital. Sixty-one-year-old Don Robinson was arrested by the Virginia State Police on Monday in Clarke County. Investigators say Robinson crashed into the motorcycle after driving into the intersection of Route Seven and Pine Grove Road just east of Berryville. The 23-year-old motorcycle rider had to be flown to a hospital in Fairfax County for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Robinson was charged with reckless driving following the crash, which is still being investigated.

The county sheriff's office says 28-year-old Dustin Spake was found slumped over in a cell yesterday morning. Lifesaving efforts were attempted but Spake was pronounced dead about an hour later. Foul play is not suspected. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police are investigating.
