Virginia's political leaders are giving their opinions on yesterday's guilty verdict in the trial of former President Donald Trump. Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin expressed the opinion of many in the GOP, calling the trial a "politically motivated prosecution" by those feeling politically threatened by the former president. Youngkin also echoed Trump by saying voters will give the real verdict on November 5th. Democratic Senator Tim Kaine said the verdict shows that "no one is above the law" and added that Trump's "lack of character" finally caught up with him. Trump will be sentenced July 11th, four days before the Republican National Convention.

A northern Virginia university has received a five-million-dollar gift that will help modernize its Center for the Arts. George Mason University announced the gift from the Peterson Family Foundation earlier this week. The donation will help renovate the Concert Hall auditorium, improving its ability to support the artists who perform there. The university is about to begin a capital campaign to help fund future improvements to programs and facilities in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.  
 
 
Taco Bell's Cheez-It collaboration is going nationwide on June 6th. For a limited time, the "Big Cheez-It Tostada" and "Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme" will be on menus across the U.S. Taco Bell said the items' "overwhelmingly positive reaction" in test markets proved that the Cheez-It meals "brought something new to the table."
