Virginians are still dealing with mail issues.Preview: A kitten is being cared for in Prince William County after being rescued from a trash compactor. Animal control investigators say an attendant at a convenience site in Darlington Heights heard the kitten meowing inside the compactor early yesterday. The attendant found an orange bag inside the compactor containing three kittens. Two of the kittens had already died, but the third was taken to a vet to be checked out after a bath. Investigators believe the bag was thrown into the compactor yesterday and are looking for information that could lead to a suspect.
Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission to active duty military, veterans and their families this weekend. The offer is part of a program called Honoring Service to America that has provided nearly 60-thousand free tickets to the attraction since 2015. The offer is open to those on active duty, retirees, reservists and National Guard members, and up to three members of their family. Proof of service is required to take advantage of the offer.
A judge dismissed six counts against Donald Trump and others in the election interference case in Georgia and the controversial District Attorney plans to appeal. Judge Scott McAfee's March decision dismissed charges that state officials were illegally influenced to call a special session to appoint Trump electors in 2020.
