Police are identifying a man who allegedly left his dying girlfriend at a Maryland hospital last weekend. Investigators say 24-year-old Brianna Burton of Centreville, Virginia, was dropped off at a Silver Spring hospital on Sunday. She died from gunshot wounds, and police immediately began looking for the man who left her at the hospital. Thirty-two-year-old Rogerio Palma was arrested on Tuesday and booked on multiple charges.

A former teacher is among a group of eight men charged with child sexual exploitation in Loudoun County. Investigators say an online undercover operation led to the arrest of the suspects. The men allegedly thought they were chatting with minors when they were actually talking to detectives. Among those arrested was 26-year-old Michael Peter Sherman, a preschool teacher at the Bender JCC of Greater Washington. The school says Sherman's employment was immediately terminated following his arrest.
