Roanoke County Sheriff's Office units responded to a protest at the Mountain Valley Pipeline construction site in Bent Mountain this morning. Demonstrators from the "Appalachians Against Pipelines" group set up a blockade, with one man locking himself to two barrels. The protest is part of ongoing opposition to the pipeline project. WFXR reports the protest comes as the pipeline's parent company aims to bring it into service this summer.
