A man reported missing in Pulaski earlier this month has been found dead. Sixty-five-year-old Lamonte "Monty" Defriece was last seen near Pulaski Lewis Gale Hospital on May 1st. He was thought to be endangered due to his abnormal behavior. The Pulaski Police Department announced yesterday that the elderly man had been found, though no details about his death were released.
Utah is the best state in the country but Virginia was ranked in the top ten - according to the U.S. News and World Reports' latest ranking of the Overall Best States, which was released yesterday. Virginia came in number 13 on the list after earning a top-ten honor in education. Multiple other categories were examined including crime, healthcare, environment, economy, opportunity and more. It's lowest score came in the infrastructure category where it was placed towards the bottom at number 38. This is the second year in a row that Utah has topped the rankings with Louisiana coming in at the bottom of the list.
