Richmond Animal Care and Control is asking for help after another gruesome discovery. RACC announced Wednesday that a dog was found dead in a garbage bag on Buttermilk Trail. That's also where another dog was found in a garbage bag on Monday. That dog was still alive but eventually died. RACC says both dogs were found in the same type of garbage bag. They ask for someone to come forward with information that leads to whoever's responsible.
The long-predicted consumer pull back is finally here with many brands reporting a decrease in same store sales. McDonald's said it has adopted a "street-fighting mentality" to compete for value-minded diners. Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and KFC reported shrinking same-store sales. Economists have been predicting that consumers would cut back on their spending in response to higher prices and interest rates. Prices to eat out are up five-percent in March compared to a year-ago, while prices for groceries have increased more slowly, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
