A teenager is dead after a shooting in Richmond. Police yesterday identified the victim in Wednesday's shooting as 18-year-old Tyshawn White. He was found dead in a home on the Southside. No arrest has been announced. White's mother says he was supposed to graduate today from Meadowbrook High School, and he was planning to attend Richard Bland College. She tells CBS 6 she'll walk across the stage at today's ceremony to accept his diploma.
Normally saved for a national emergency, the Biden administration is selling off millions of barrels of gasoline to tamp down gas prices ahead of the summer driving season. Summer road trips in the northeast will be a little cheaper between Memorial Day and July fourth this year, after the US government announced that about one-million barrels will be released for sale from the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve. The N-G-S-R is like the crude oil-focused Strategic Petroleum Reserve, but for gasoline, and was established following Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
