An attorney is seeking a new trial for his client over claims the Virginia State Police paid an informant to testify at trial.Preview: The president of Randolph-Macon College will retire next year. Robert Lindgren plans to step down at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Lindgren was named president of the private college in Ashland in 2006. In a statement, Lindgren said it was his honor to lead the college, saying his staff works every day to develop the minds and character of each student. The Board of Trustees says it is forming a committee to begin the search for a new president.
A new healthcare development is coming to Lynchburg. Collaborative Health Partners is set to partner with CVFP Medical Group to create a medical complex that will host different services under one roof. The complex will be located at the former Nationwide property on Graves Mill Road. It will hold a primary care, pediatrics, behavioral health, endocrinology and many more. They plan to start renovations this July and open by summer 2025.
