A Henrico father has an idea that could keep kids off the streets and out of trouble. Osman Mohamed runs the Peaceful Community Foundation that's coming to Richmond. It'll be a place where kids can hang out, play games and get help with schoolwork. Mohamed hopes to open this summer. He tells CBS 6 he didn't have gun violence where he grew up, and he just wants kids to have fun.  
 
 
May is National Foster Care Month and there is a pressing need for more foster homes in Virginia. The United Methodist Family Services of Virginia's Regional Director Holly Coates says the number of people inquiring about becoming a foster parent has dropped by 40 percent. However, statistics show nearly 5,400 children are in Virginia's foster care system. WDBJ reports the state is ranked one of the worst for the number of youths aging out of the system at 18 years old. Learn more at U-M-F-S dot org.  
 
 
A pistol that belonged to Al Capone is up for auction in Greenville, South Carolina, this weekend. Richmond Auctions is holding the auction for the firearm known as "The Sweetheart" on Saturday. Richmond Auctions says it was Capone's favorite gun, and the one he used as a concealed carry. The pre-auction estimated value is between two to three million dollars.
