A group of American Airlines passengers had their flight to Chicago delayed by an emergency landing last night. Flight 1263 took off from Ronald Reagan National Airport around seven o'clock and was then directed to land at Dulles International due to a possible mechanical issue. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority says the plane landed safely and was checked on the runway by fire and rescue personnel. No injuries were reported.
It will cost nearly two-billion dollars to reconstruct the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. Maryland Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld told the "Baltimore Sun" and "Washington Post" Thursday that replacing the collapsed structure will come with a preliminary price tag of between one-point-seven-billion dollars and one-point-nine-billion. Wiedefeld also says the new bridge should be complete by the fall of 2028. Maryland's congressional delegation has introduced legislation to ensure the federal government covers the entire cost of replacing the bridge.
