A number of Arlington residents are questioning their water bills. About 3900 customers say their bills have doubled and no one is sure why it has happened.
Scott Kimbler.....Preview: [The Department of Environmental Services in Arlington says it was made aware of the complaints about higher than normal water bills and it is investigating. A spokesman says the uptick in utility bills may stem from the past drought that found people watering their lawns more often instead of depending on rain to take care of their lawn needs. The spokesman said the number of people complaining about their water bills represents only 11-percent of the county's residential customers. During the 2016 drought, as many as 2500 people complained of higher water bills. ]
